My students would own and demonstrate pride in their work every day with confidence and diligence. They would persevere in times of adversity. I would facilitate their learning. We all would be content, happy, healthy learners and leaders.
The TRUE belief that all my students can be successful. It looks like them knowing I care and truly think that of them. An abundance of confidence should exude from them if they truly believe this
I think in fifth grade, an abundance mentality in the classroom would look like camaraderie and less like competition whether it is academically, personally, or interpersonal interactions.
Win-Win: Students winning at behavioral actions/goals. Students working together who previously have a history of bickering; students making positive choices to help everyone be successful. Everyone thinking of others.
We have an abundance of peer support and encouragement in my classroom. An abundance mentality would look like... students celebrating their own accomplishments as well as their peers.
To me it means ensuring that all students are getting met where they are. It means that no student is left behind and even students helping other students as well. It is not letting any student struggle without the opportunity to learn from it as well.
An abundance mentality in my classroom would look like excited students collaborating together to grow as learners and leaders. The students would enternalize the fact that they don't always have to be the best, but they do always have to try their best.
Students hold themselves and each other accountable. They also understand that love and support are readily available to help them meet their goals and needs.
Students work together to hold each other accountable. They cheer each other in the small and big victories. We are a family and #fight for each other!
An abundance mentality in my class would be students holding each other and myself accountable. You would see celebrations both big and small. Students would be synergizing as we better ourselves for the future and work toward common class goals and WIGs/PIGs.
An abundance mentality in my classroom would be students exhibiting a feeling of pride and accomplishment as they complete their tasks each day. They would be risk-takers and would leave feeling a sense of pride in their work.
We celebrate each other's accomplishments and celebrate when others reach their goals. Students help each other be successful! :)
